Getting Back To It

A piece of mine recently came to online publication through Metafore Magazine in the Winter 2018 issue. Entitled, "A Candy Cane Christmas", it juxtaposes the sweet and the sharp that can surround the holidays as the years fly by.

Winsome, lose some

Head hung low, glasses slip like the tear lost in the folds of his beard. Entering their lives- his heart, and now she would leave. Thinking his heart broken before with her lying so still, so white from that tainted fruit. Heigh-ho.
