Winsome, lose some

Head hung low, glasses slip like the tear lost in the folds of his beard.

Entering their lives- his heart, and now she would leave.

Thinking his heart broken before with her lying so still, so white from that tainted fruit.

  1. Very poignant. I really like the bitter twist of the last line. Since you asked for concrit, I’ll point out that each paragraph (with the exception of the last) has more or less the same structure: [participle phrase], [sentence]. In a short piece like this, the lack of variation stands out.
