The blue stadium light glowing cast its icy glare across the water, yet it was no match for the cold buried within.

“It’s the cheap seats for us tonight, honey. But I promise you all the beer and cheese fries you can stuff into that pretty little mouth of yours.”

The highest seats available. Perfectly secluded among thousands.

She ran her hand up his thigh, and leaned in for a kiss. He pulled away, and her eyes flew open. Down on one knee, diamond sparkling- she jumped towards his embrace.

His smile faded as he propelled backward.

Diamonds are forever.
